First I will want to apologise for my long absence. It was due to some circumstances under my control (because no circumstance is beyond my control). So, am back and I am going to share with you something that will add value to your life.

One thing I have learnt in this life is never to give up. No matter the circumstances, no matter the challenges, no matter the environment, never give up on what you are doing, provided you are sure you are on the right track and God is with you. The thing there is that for you to be successful in life there is always a point you get to and you feel like giving up. I CAN DO ALL THINGS

In 2006, I went to Michelin Nigeria in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, for my one year Industrial Training. On entering the department I was sent to, Drawing Office to be precise, I was shocked by what I was seeing on their computer screen. They were just engineering drawings done with Auto CAD; a computer aided drafting software. Then I started having doubt in me if I can really do these kinds of drawing. When I started working there, there is this colleague of mine that made me believe I can do more than those things I saw on the screen. He showed me his own drawings and because he was very good with the software, I always go to him when I have problems. Initially, he was answering me directly but later he stopped and will always tell me “you can do it, just go and do it”. When he tells me that, I will be angry but at the end I will still get it and I will be filled with happiness. I later turned to be one of the best users of AutoCAD in that office. I was able to do it because of that simple sentence; “I can do it”.

LEARN TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

I can’t really say if it is in the nature of man to always blame someone for his or her misfortunes.  We always have someone to blame. Nobody wants to be held responsible. In Genesis 3:12; “And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat”. That was Adam blaming Eve for making him eat the fruit they were asked not to eat, even though he was given the instruction not to eat it. So the game of blaming people has always been there. But the question is, is it the right thing to do?

In Nigeria, the people blame the government for the level of corruption and infrastructural decay while the government also try to blame the people they are leading too (Peter Obi of Anambara State did that last week, I read it on papers).

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOURSELF

There are lots of things you should know about yourself that will certainly change your mind set about life. No wonder the bible said; “My people perish because of lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). I will just outline some that will make you start taking bold steps, no matter the circumstances.

You are wonderful and carefully made. (Ps 139:14); Now if truly you know God, you will know that He is not a joker or a time waster. He cannot create something that is not wonderful. God cannot create failure. You might be passing through rough times does not mean it is meant to be that way. The bible says we were created in the image of God. If you put this into your head, there are things that you won’t pass through. Someone might have called you a failure, but the person is lying because God created you to be a success. So always tell remind yourself that you are wonderfully made by God, created in His image, so you can’t fail, because God has never failed. I can’t be sick because God has never been sick. I carry the power of God in me because He gave me the breath of life that carries power.

FAITH WITHOUT WORK IS DEAD

The rate at which Christians want to be wealthy, drive big cars, get promotions, even growth in faith, etc, all without working for it is very alarming. The problem is that this issues are escalated on pulpits by Ministers who are there ministering for their own pockets, not to the glory of God. They tell people to have faith that money will come, prosperity will come and all that. But they don’t stress on working hard to get the good things they want in life.

Now am not saying God can’t do anything for us if we don’t work for it. The fact is that God has given us everything thing we need to live a better life.We want manna just like the Israelites, who even after the manna, where still complaining.
