Beautiful in His time.

Just as it is written in Ecclesiastes 3, there is a season and a time for every activity under the heaven. God has made a lot of promises to His children, promises to make life easier when they live a godly life. And even some has received revelations and prophecies from God. But it marvels some why after years of being children of God and receiving promises, they don’t see it fulfilled. Has God forsaken them? NO! God can’t forsake His people. The Psalmist said, “I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor His seed beg bread”. The most important thing to do is to hold God on His word and wait patiently on Him.
David was anointed king of Israel when he was still very young. That did not make him to take over the kingdom
immediately. He had to wait for Saul to die. Even when he had opportunity to kill Saul, he did not touch, because he still respected the anointing on Saul’s head.  Even when Saul died, he (David) still did not become king in Israel immediately. He has to be anointed King in Judah first (2Samuel 2:1-13) and he ruled there for seven and a half years from Hebron.
What do we learn from this?
It is always good to find out the will of God for our lives so that we can queue into it. David had to make enquiries from God to know his next destination. (2 Samuel 2:1) How many times do we talk to God when we want to do some things? Knowing that we are living according to God’s will encourages us even when it seems very difficult.
Also learn to always wait on God. He makes things beautiful in His time. Don’t try to use short cuts or try to help yourself. Some will say, “God helps those who help themselves”. How can you trust God and also decided to help yourself? No matter what you are seeing now, you future is still secured. Look up to Him and follow His principles.
Remember, God has done it for people before you; He can do it for you too.
